Tocker Foundation supports the iSchool at the University of Texas

To support the future of libraries and librarians, the Tocker Foundation has an on-going relationship with the University of Texas’ School of Information and provides support in a variety of ways.

  • The Phillip Tocker Endowed Presidential Scholarship
  • The Brooke E. Sheldon Endowed Professorship of Management and Leadership
  • The Tocker Fellows Program makes it possible to bring distinguished visiting scholars in library and information science to the school. The gift also helps promote the school’s curriculum which addresses all aspects of information, from access and usability to management and preservation of records.
  • In 2008, the Foundation provided a gift enabling the iSchool to fund a graduate research assistant position to assist with development efforts.
  • The Foundation assisted the iSchool by creating the Tocker Lounge in the heart of the iSchool’s new building. The new space provides a comfortable and welcoming area for students to congregate, study, collaborate on group projects and build community.
