Born and raised in Cleburne, Texas, she is the daughter of a multi-generational Texan father and a British mother, who eventually became the director of the above mentioned library. Donna followed her mother’s example and worked at the Texas Legislative Library at the State Capitol building while attending Austin Community College and the University of Texas. Later, she was employed at the Texas State University Library in San Marcos. She graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Donna is a member of the American Library Association, the Texas Library Association, Philanthropy Southwest and a lifetime member of Hadassah. She is married to Darryl Tocker. They have two daughters, Rachel and Laura, and one granddaughter, Addison.

Beth-portraitBeth Wheeler Fox

Within weeks of moving to Austin, Beth volunteered to help sort books for the soon to be created Westbank Community Library. In 1983, she was hired as the first library director of the newly formed library and retired after twenty-nine years in 2012. Beth nurtured its growth from a non-profit library with a few hundred donated books to one of the most successful community libraries in Texas.   Along the way she raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for operations; co-chaired the construction of two libraries; led the effort to form the first library district in Texas; and built a branch library in 2009. As a result of these efforts, Beth was honored as the TLA Texas Librarian of the Year in 2006.

Beth graduated cum laude from the University of North Texas and is the author of two books on library management. Over the years, she has made dozens of presentations on fundraising, public relations, grant writing, volunteers, and creating library buildings.
