2010 Grant Application

The cutoff deadline for our next funding period will be January 15, 2010.

Applications are accepted year round, but the cut off deadlines are January 15th and June 1st. Short extensions can be obtained by contacting the Foundation Office. (fax, letter or email preferred). Please visit our Projects & Collaborations page to see a list of recent grant recipients.


2010 TLA Travel Stipend

The Tocker Foundation has provided funds to the Texas Library Association to award stipends to persons in each of the 10 Texas Library Systems to attend TLA Annual Conference. The 2009 TLA annual conference will be held in Houston, TX March 31st - April 3rd 2009. Persons from libraries that serve a population of 12,000 or less qualify to apply for this grant. Staff directly involved in the day to day operation of the library are the primary focus of this grant.

2010 Small Library Management Training Program

The Small Library Management Training Program is an ongoing, voluntary program that provides management skills to nonMLIS library staff of small community (25,000 or less population) libraries in Texas. Since 1994 more than 350 library directors have taken part in the program, and 165 have completed the entire series.The Tocker Foundation offers assistance for library personnel to attend certain Texas State Library Workshops. Requests will be considered from public libraries serving populations of 12,000 or less. Funds are to be used for expenses incurred attending the workshop.
